It just occurred to me that I hadn't thanked you for the wonderful week in Arles. Had a really marvellous week. Despite high wind from the north everyday, we cycled all over the place -- nearly got blown off the corniche in Marseille yesterday. Your house is delightful. We couldn't have asked for more. We loved your house ... location, amenities, decor, cleanliness, etc. ... everything was top class. It was a delightful holiday. I'll recommend you to anyone I know who is planning a trip to the Rhone Delta region. Again, thanks for thinking of EVERYTHING to make us welcome. Many many thanks!
We couldn't have found a better, more comfortable place to stay in Arles. The house is just charming, exactly as the website pictures show. There were four of us staying for a week, and we felt lucky to have found this home. It was conveniently located to walk all around Arles, and the first few days as we wandered the narrow streets, we knew by following the Rhone, we could easily find our way back. The kitchen was well equipped and the use of a computer was another plus. Having plenty of room for the four of us was so much better than booking 2 hotel rooms.
We found the home to be comfortable and very tastefully appointed with art and furnishings typical of the region. The location was ideal for walking around Arles and it was just a quick trip to get to scenic nearby areas such as Nimes, St. Remey, Baux de Provence and the Carmague. We loved walking out the from door to the Saturday market that seemed to go on for a mile into town. The high speed WiFi access was real plus and we enjoyed playing ping pong in the basement "cave.
I am writing to let you and your wife know that my wife,daughter,son-in-law and I were delighted with the house in Arles. It had a warm comfortable feeling almost as good as home. When we arrived I looked into public transportation and decided to cancel the rental car. There is a bus stop across the street for a free bus that took us to the bus depot in town, the train station, and many other parts of the old town. We were able to get buses and trains to many other towns in Provence so I did not need a car. The house was also convenient to a well stocked grocery and several places to obtain excellent take out food for dinner at home. I can say without exaggeration that we all had an excellent time and completely enjoyed our stay at your house as a perfect place for experiencing Arles. So much so that we decided to come back in the future.
